Hot News Today | Ben Cousins Could Face Jail Over Drug Arrest. Ben Cousins has been arrested for drug possession. The 33-year-old Australian soccer League star, who has previously spoken of his battle with drug addiction, was intercepted by police when stepping off a flight in Esperance on Tuesday.
According to the Herald Sun, detectives found 4g of methyl amphetamine on Cousins and charged him with intent to sell or provide. Last night, Cousins flew in to Perth airport and wandered round the terminal for ten minutes, before telling reporters: "I've got nothing to mention."
It is believed that police then escorted him to where his partner and mother of his 6-month-old kid Maylea Tinecheff was waiting during a automobile. Cousins's bail conditions state that he should report back to police 3 times every week and stay at his North Beach home in Perth. The star is scheduled to look in Perth Magistrates' Court on Monday. He might face up to twenty five years in jail and a $100,000 (£65,000) fine.
